This extremely difficult 13.668-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Suc du Rond area. The trail starts at a parking area and immediately immerses you in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
As you hike along the trail, you will come across various points of interest. Around 1.53 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Col d'Aulac, offering a picturesque view of the area. Continuing on, at around 1.22 kilometers from the start, you'll reach a viewpoint where you can take in the breathtaking scenery.
Around midway through the hike, approximately 6.06 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the ruins, adding a touch of historic charm to your journey. Further along, at 6.83 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the peak known as Suc du Rond, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Throughout the hike, you'll also find convenient stops such as the Restaurant du col d'Aulac and Buron du Chaussedier for sustenance.
