This extremely difficult 35.4-kilometer out-and-back hiking route takes you through a challenging terrain with an elevation gain of 914 meters. The hike is expected to take around 10 hours and 28 minutes to complete, so proper preparation is essential.
The trail starts at a parking area located at the trailhead. It is recommended to park your vehicle here before embarking on the journey. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest.
Approximately 12.3 kilometers from the start, you will reach Cerro Torquemada, a prominent peak along the route. This point offers excellent views of the surrounding landscape and serves as a great spot for a rest or photo opportunity.
Further along, at around 13.2 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another peak known as Peak #2. This peak also provides panoramic views and a challenging ascent for hikers.
