The route includes a visit to an alpine hut at some distance away, adding to the charm of the hike. Additionally, you will encounter a saddle known as Col de la Schleif, showcasing the natural beauty of the area.

For your convenience, there is a drinking water point named Brunn to refill your water supply and stay hydrated throughout the hike. The trail is an out-and-back type, meaning you will retrace your steps back to the starting point after reaching the Backofenfels destination.
