Starting at Glenshee Ski Centre Small Car Park, you will begin your journey towards The Cairnwell. Along the way, you will pass by Cairnwell Cafe, where you can stop for a break and grab a cup of coffee. The cafe is located 0.34 kilometers from the start of the trail.

As you continue on the trail, you will come across Carn Aosda Hut, a shelter located 1.18 kilometers from the start. This can be a good spot to rest and recharge before continuing your hike.

The highlight of the hike is reaching The Cairnwell, which is located 2.67 kilometers from the start of the trail. Once you reach the peak, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding area.
