Welcome to the beautiful hiking trail around Új-hegy! This circular route spans approximately 4.3 kilometers in distance with an elevation gain of 202 meters, making it an easy and enjoyable hike for all skill levels.

Starting at the designated parking area located right by the trailhead, you will embark on a scenic journey through the stunning natural surroundings. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest that offer a glimpse into the area's rich history and breathtaking views.

At the beginning of the trail, you will come across the ruins of Várhely, a historic site that is just over a kilometer away from the starting point. As you continue onwards, you will pass by Várhely kilátó, a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from 1.36 kilometers into the hike.

Midway through the hike, you will reach Bella Lajos-pihenő, a memorial site situated 1.77 kilometers from the start, followed by Kora vaskori halomsír 131., a wayside shrine, and Kora vaskori halomsírok, ancient tombs, both located at 1.99 kilometers into the trek.

As you approach the 2.12-kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Új-hegy, where you can enjoy a well-deserved rest and take in the stunning natural beauty that surrounds you. From here, you can also visit the Frieda Fürst-emlékmű, a memorial site just 0.02 kilometers away.

Before completing the loop, you will pass by the wilderness hut at 1.77 kilometers from the start and the shelter at 1.93 kilometers into the hike for any necessary rest stops or breaks.

Throughout the hike, it is important to stay hydrated, so be sure to bring an ample water supply. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before setting out is always recommended to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.
