This challenging 7.76-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning natural beauty of the area surrounding Lac de Cornillon. The trail starts at a convenient parking area located at the trailhead. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for this nearly 3-hour hike.

As you set off on the trail, you will quickly come across the picturesque Col de la Forclaz, a saddle that sits 2.11 kilometers from the start. Enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks as you continue on towards Mont Cornillon, a peak located 3.37 kilometers into the hike.

Midway through the hike, at 3.85 kilometers in, you will reach the tranquil Lac de Cornillon. Take a moment to rest and admire the serene lake before continuing on the trail.

Although the trail is challenging, the breathtaking views from the viewpoint at 2.22 kilometers from the start are well worth the effort. Be sure to take your time and soak in the beauty of the area before heading back towards the parking area.
