This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Christophorushütte. The trail is a challenging out-and-back route with a total distance of 8.682 kilometers and an elevation gain of 928 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at Gasthaus zur Kreh, you will begin your journey through the picturesque landscape. Along the way, you will pass by Parkplatz GH Kreh at the beginning of the trail, where you can park your vehicle. As you continue, you will come across several points of interest such as Berggasthof Edelweiss, Berggasthof Feuerkogel, and Christophorushütte, where you can stop for a meal or accommodation.
Midway through the hike, you will reach peak Feuerkogel, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. Make sure to take a break at the picnic site and Traunseeblick viewpoint to enjoy the scenery. Additionally, you can explore the cave entrance at Pledischacht and the wayside cross at Gipfelkreuz Feuerkogel.
Towards the end of the trail, you will find several benches for resting and information points providing insights about the area. If you're feeling adventurous, you can visit the Pledigupf peak and the Langbathsee over Kreh for a longer hike.
