This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Cabezo de los Castillicos. With a total distance of 5.596 kilometers and an elevation gain of 105 meters, this moderate difficulty trail offers a rewarding outdoor experience.
As you start your journey, you will come across the historic building known as Area Recreativa Casa Leiva, situated right at the beginning of the trail, along with convenient parking spaces at Parque de los Siete Hermanos. Further along the trail, you will reach Collado de los Siete Hermanos, a natural saddle that offers stunning views of the surroundings.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter Cueva de los Mataos, a cave entrance that adds a sense of mystery to the journey. As you continue onwards, you will reach the peak of Cabezo de los Castillicos, standing tall at 2.72 kilometers from the start, offering panoramic views of the area.
Throughout the trail, you will also find several informational signs and benches for resting. Make sure to visit El caño de Espuña, a notable landmark providing insights into the area's history.
