Welcome to the hiking route around Galtzarrieta!

This moderate 5.072-kilometer long trail offers a great opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the area while also getting a glimpse into its historical past. The route is circular, starting and ending at the parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail.

As you make your way along the path, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will encounter the Bianditz peak, standing majestically just 1.84 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along, approximately 1.5 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Cromlechs Arritxulangaña archaeological site, offering a fascinating look into the ancient history of the region.

Midway through the hike, at around 2.23 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Gatzarrietako Lepoa tumulus, another significant archaeological site worth exploring.

Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 2.33 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Galtzarrieta peak, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

It is recommended to carry an ample water supply, especially on warm days, and to check the weather forecast before setting out on this adventure. With an elevation gain of 174 meters, this hike offers a moderate challenge suitable for hikers of varying experience levels.
