This extremely difficult hiking route takes you on the Route de Vérignon, spanning a distance of 17.688 kilometers with an elevation gain of 560 meters. The duration of this challenging hike is approximately 5 hours and 29 minutes, so be prepared for a strenuous trek.

Starting off, you'll find a campsite called L'Oasis du Verdon located 0.31 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This could be a great spot to stay overnight before or after your hike. Nearby, there is a parking area without any fees just at the start of the trail, making it convenient for you to park your vehicle.

As you make your way along the path, you'll encounter a viewpoint 8.84 kilometers into the hike, offering stunning panoramic vistas of the surrounding area. Further along, at 7.15 kilometers, there is a peak that could be a perfect rest spot to admire the natural beauty around you. Additionally, at the 6.28 kilometers mark, you'll find another peak where you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

Remember to bring an ample water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging journey. The trail is an out-and-back type, so you'll retrace your steps on the way back, taking in the sights from a different perspective.
