This extremely difficult 15.16 kilometers long hiking route will take you to the stunning Brèche du Dérochoir in the beautiful mountainous area.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Refuge de Platé, an alpine hut located 4.13 kilometers from the starting point, where you can rest and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Further along the trail at 7.58 kilometers, you will reach the Brèche du Dérochoir, a peak offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Along the way, you will also pass by Col de la Portette at 5.39 kilometers, a scenic saddle point, and Passage du Dérochoir at 7.23 kilometers, offering a unique hiking experience. Additionally, there are several information points and viewpoints scattered throughout the route providing interesting insights into the area.

It is important to note that this route is challenging, with a total elevation gain of 1347 meters. Therefore, it is recommended to be well prepared with proper hiking gear, sufficient water, and snacks. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before embarking on this journey is essential.

This out-and-back trail will take approximately 6 hours and 52 minutes to complete, but the breathtaking views and unique landmarks along the way make it a truly rewarding hiking experience for outdoor enthusiasts.
