This hiking route takes you through the stunning alpine scenery around Punta dell'Ideale. The trail is considered difficult, with a total distance of 8.472 kilometers and an elevation gain of 978 meters, so make sure to be well-prepared with proper hiking gear.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards the first point of interest, Rifugio Cacciatore, an alpine hut located right on the trail. This is a great spot to take a short break and enjoy the surrounding views. As you continue on, you will pass by Rifugio Val d'Ambiez - Silvio Agostini, another alpine hut situated about 2.71 kilometers from the start of the trail.
Further along the route, you will come across Sella della Tosa, a natural saddle located 4.08 kilometers from the beginning. While not directly on the trail, it offers a great vantage point to rest and take in the scenery. As you trek onwards, you will encounter several information points along the way, providing insights into the local flora, fauna, and geology of the area.
Eventually, you will reach Bocca della Tosa, another natural saddle, and nearby peaks such as Campanile Steck and Punta dell'Ideale. These landmarks offer panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, making for a rewarding end to your hike.
