The Ober Kohlrieserweg hiking route is located in a beautiful area with stunning viewpoints and natural landmarks. The route is 7.5 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 760 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.

Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, hikers will pass by Klein-Waldegg restaurant about halfway through the hike, where they can take a break and enjoy a meal. Continuing on, there is a shelter nearby for those who want to rest or seek refuge from the elements.

As you make your way up the trail, you'll come across Rot Platte, a notable peak in the area with a viewpoint offering panoramic views. Nearby, there is a rock formation called Rot Platte and a water source for refilling your bottles.

Throughout the hike, there are several amenities such as BBQ areas, picnic sites, and fountains for your convenience. At the end of the trail, there is another parking area where you can rest before heading back.
