This challenging hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Cima dei Piaggi. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting and ending at the parking area near Acqua.
As you begin your ascent, you will pass by the Stazione Via Crucis and the Arzengio Arnuzzolo Serravalle information points, providing historical insights into the region. About 1.8 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Passo della Crocetta, a natural saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Continuing onwards, you will encounter a wayside cross and several drinking water stations to refill your supplies. The trail will lead you past Monte Brusciol, a peak located approximately 3.84 kilometers from the start, before reaching the highlight of the hike, Cima dei Piaggi, at around 5.81 kilometers from the beginning. This peak provides a rewarding panoramic view of the area.
Throughout the journey, you will also come across viewpoints, benches to rest, and more drinking water stations for your comfort and convenience. The total distance of the hike is approximately 11.615 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 523 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
