Welcome to the hiking route on Chemin de Carcelade! This moderate difficulty trail spans approximately 4.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 492 meters, taking around 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete.

Located in a picturesque area, the trail starts near Place de l'Ancienne Gendarmerie. Ensure to check the weather forecast before setting off. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest such as Bar de la Rose, Font Pialade spring, Aven du Pas de Madame cave entrance, and several benches for resting.

As you continue your journey, you'll come across Sumène Ancienne Gare and informative sites with details about the surroundings. Halfway through the trail, you'll reach Ranc de Banes peak, offering stunning views of the landscape. Don't forget to stay hydrated at the drinking water station located close to the trail.

On your way back, make sure to stop by the viewpoints at various locations, including viewpoints at 1.58 km, 2.18 km, and 2.42 km from the start. If you need a quick bite, Pizzeria Chez Laurent is not far from the trailhead.
