This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The total distance of the hike is 12.665 kilometers with an elevation gain of 461 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will test your endurance.

Starting off at the parking area located right at the beginning of the trail, you will soon come across the Sorgente Pietra Cernaia spring, just 3.75 kilometers from the start. This is a perfect spot to refill your water bottles before continuing on your journey.

As you hike further along, at around 5.78 kilometers from the start, you will reach the ruins of Castello di Carceres, a historic site offering a glimpse into the past. Just a bit further, at 5.82 kilometers from the start, you will find the Croce di Carceres monument, adding to the cultural richness of the hike.

Midway through the hike, at 6.33 kilometers from the start, you will reach Casa della Madonna, an alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy some refreshments. This is a great place to refuel and take in the surrounding nature.

On the way back, make sure to stop by the information point located at 3.74 kilometers from the start, providing valuable insights into the area and its history.
