The hike starts at the parking area, which is conveniently located at the trailhead. As you begin the trek, you will come across the ruins of a historic site just 0.88 kilometers from the start. These ruins provide a unique glimpse into the area's past. About midway through the hike, at 1.72 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Pas du Sappey, a natural saddle that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Continuing on, you will encounter Les Combes information point at 0.87 kilometers and another one at 0.89 kilometers from the start, providing interesting insights into the region. Additionally, you'll come across Namière information point, as well as the meulière des Dauphins (2) at 0.03 kilometers and 0.89 kilometers from the start respectively. These points offer educational opportunities along the trail.

Towards the end of the route, at 2.01 kilometers from the start, you'll find Cabane du Petit Sappey shelter where you can rest and have a snack before heading back. Finally, at 2.09 kilometers from the start, you'll reach a viewpoint overlooking Mont-Saint-Martin to the southwest, offering a breathtaking panorama of the area.
