This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route on Chemin Bélaube offers a challenging 14.656-kilometer trek with an elevation gain of 354 meters. Starting at the parking area, hikers will traverse through the stunning natural beauty of the area.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. Approximately 2.39 kilometers from the start, you will find a water point that is slightly off the trail. As you continue on, at around 3.55 kilometers from the start, there is another water point located directly on the trail. Further on, at the 7.08-kilometer mark, you will reach another water point conveniently situated on the trail. Make sure to stay hydrated throughout your journey.
For those interested in geological formations, at approximately 2.82 kilometers into the hike, there is a cave entrance at Grotte de L'Espalungue. Additionally, you can explore the Cascade supérieure de l'Espalungue and Cascade inférieure de l'Espalungue waterfalls located at around 3.13 and 2.92 kilometers from the start, respectively.
