This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to Punta Scaddatta, covering a distance of nearly 15 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1137 meters.
The hike starts at a parking area, conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. It is recommended to bring an ample water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging journey.
As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. Around 5 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter an information point where you can learn more about the area. Further along, at the 4.97-kilometer mark, there is a campsite known as Bivouac d'Usciolu where you can take a break and rest.
Continuing on, at the 5.38-kilometer mark, you will reach Bocca di l´Usciolu, a saddle offering spectacular views. Further ahead, at 7.49 kilometers, you will find Punta Scaddatta, a peak that rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Additionally, at various points along the trail, you will find drinking water sources to refill your supply.
This challenging hike is not for the faint-hearted, so make sure you are well-prepared with proper hiking gear and enough energy to tackle the steep inclines. Enjoy the rugged beauty of the terrain as you push yourself to reach the summit of Punta Scaddatta.
