This hiking route takes you on a circular journey starting at Matthias Firabigbänkli in Braunwald. Braunwald is a picturesque area known for its stunning views and pristine natural beauty. The total distance of the hike is approximately 7.9 kilometers with an elevation gain of 568 meters, making it a moderate level trail suitable for most hikers.
As you begin your hike from the Startplatz Kiosk, be sure to carry an adequate supply of water and snacks. The trail starts with a gentle ascent through the lush forests of Braunwald, where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Along the way, you will pass by various points of interest such as the Braunwald information center, Alexander's Tödiblick restaurant, and the Bergrestaurant Seblengrat where you can take a break and refuel.
After about 3 kilometers, you will reach a saddle known as Chnügrat, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. From there, the trail continues towards Rindenhüttli picnic site and Abenteuercamp Braunwald, providing opportunities to relax and enjoy the serene environment. As you make your way back towards Matthias Firabigbänkli, you will pass by Zwergenturm picnic site and Bruwaldalp information point.
Throughout the hike, you will encounter several facilities including drinking water stations, benches for resting, and even a cafe for a quick refreshment. It is recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure and to wear appropriate hiking gear.
