This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a 14.127-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 674 meters in the breathtaking area surrounding Refuge de Vallonpierre.

Starting at parking du Crépon, you will begin your hike with informative signs at the trailhead to guide you along the path. As you make your way, you will come across various points of interest. At just 0.06 kilometers from the start, you will find an information point offering insights into the area's history and wildlife.

Around 1.36 kilometers into the hike, another informational spot will provide you with more details about the surroundings. Continuing onwards, at 2.66 kilometers, you will encounter yet another information point, adding to your understanding of the area.

Further along the trail, at 3.18 kilometers, you will find another informative sign enriching your hike with additional knowledge. As you reach 6.86 kilometers, another information point will offer interesting facts about the region.

Approximately midway through your journey, at 7.02 kilometers, you will be greeted by the stunning Lac de Vallonpierre, providing a picturesque resting spot amidst the rugged terrain. Just a bit further at 7.06 kilometers, you will find Refuge de Vallonpierre, where you can take a break and enjoy the cozy alpine hut.

Additionally, at 7.06 kilometers, there is a drinking water point along the trail, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout your challenging adventure.
