This extremely difficult 12.118-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Breitenstein area. The trail starts at Talstation Geigelstein and immediately leads you to the Griesselberg-Rundweg information point, providing insightful details about the surroundings.
As you continue your journey, you will pass by the Wirtsalm restaurant around the 4.96-kilometer mark, offering a perfect spot to rest and refuel. Further ahead at 3.5 kilometers in, you'll find the Wuhrsteinalm restaurant and alpine hut for another opportunity to take a break.
Throughout the hike, you'll come across various points of interest such as benches for resting, memorials like Bertl Bauer and Joh. Hacker, and the Kontrollstelle Wuhrstein information point. The trail also features the refreshing spring at approximately 5.73 kilometers in.
The highlight of the hike will be reaching the peak of Breitenstein at around 5.97 kilometers, providing stunning panoramic views of the surrounding nature.
