This hiking route takes you through the scenic area of Quai de Sambre in Charleroi. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 7.308 kilometers with no elevation gain, making it suitable for all skill levels.

Starting at the parking area near Château Bilquin-de Cartier, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. About 1.04 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a parking spot. Further ahead at 1.12 kilometers, there is another parking area available for visitors. As you continue on the trail, you will reach a water point by La Sambre at 2.15 kilometers, followed by more water points at 3.65 kilometers.

Midway through the route, at 2.15 kilometers, you will find a bar named Taverne au Vieux Marchiennes, perfect for a quick break or refreshment. At 3.65 kilometers, there is a shelter available for hikers as well.

It is recommended to bring an adequate water supply, wear comfortable hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this journey.
