This challenging hiking route in the Montalin area offers stunning views and a total distance of 11.482 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1171 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is around 5 hours and 35 minutes.

Starting at the parking area, you will quickly encounter the first point of interest, a water feature, just 2.45 kilometers from the beginning. As you continue along the trail, you will pass by the Castiel information point at 0.26 kilometers, followed by the historic Burg Bernegg castle at 1.38 kilometers.

Around the midway point at 5.74 kilometers, you will reach the Montalin peak, providing a breathtaking panoramic view of the surroundings. Be sure to take in the sights before heading back.

Throughout the hike, there are several information points and amenities such as benches and drinking water stations available at various points along the trail to rest and refuel.
