The Thunderbird Ridge Trail is a moderate hike with a distance of 5.003 kilometers and an elevation gain of 209 meters. The total duration of the hike is estimated to be around 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Located in a beautiful area near Grizzly Bear Habitat and Beaver Tails, the trail offers stunning viewpoints and natural peaks like Dam Mountain and Grouse Mountain. Along the way, hikers can also enjoy attractions such as Snowmobiles and satisfy their hunger at Rusty Rail Outdoor B.B.Q. & Beer Garden.
Starting at the parking area, hikers will make their way through the trail, passing by various points of interest. Approximately 2.5 kilometers into the hike, they will reach a scenic viewpoint. Further along the trail, at around 1.69 kilometers, they can find the impressive Dam Mountain. Near the midpoint of the trail, at 0.62 kilometers, there is a viewpoint offering great photo opportunities.
As the trail is an out-and-back route, hikers will retrace their steps on the way back, taking in the sights once again. It is essential to bring an ample water supply, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
