This extremely difficult 13.089-kilometer hike will take you on an out-and-back journey to the stunning Sunnenhöreli peak. The trail starts in a picturesque area with convenient parking facilities nearby. As you make your way along the path, you'll come across a shelter for a quick rest stop at the very beginning of the trail.

Further along, at 0.63 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Geissberg information point, providing valuable insights into the area. Continuing on, at around the 2-kilometer mark, you'll find the Weissenberg information point and the Wirtschaft zum Weissenberg restaurant for a delicious meal.

As you trek onwards, be sure to stay hydrated and take in the scenic views. At 4.56 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Skihaus Stäfeli alpine hut, offering a cozy retreat in the midst of nature.

The trail to Sunnenhöreli will challenge you with a total elevation gain of 1271 meters, so come prepared with proper hiking gear and sufficient water. Additionally, it's recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.

At the end of the trail, at 6.54 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Sunnenhöreli peak, where you can bask in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After taking in the breathtaking scenery, you can retrace your steps back to the starting point, making this hike a rewarding and invigorating experience for outdoor enthusiasts.
