This extremely difficult 12.04-kilometer Northway Loop Trail offers a challenging yet rewarding hiking experience. Starting at the trailhead, hikers will find parking available in the area, with the first point of interest being 'A Lot' just 3.46 meters away from the trail. As you embark on the journey, make sure to stop by Summit House at 4.79 kilometers into the hike for a quick break or meal. Along the way, you'll also come across Quicksilver Coffee and several other dining options for sustenance.

One of the highlights of this trail is the Snorting Elk Cellar, a cozy pub located 0.16 kilometers away from the trail. Further along the route, at 5.89 kilometers, you'll reach a natural peak, providing stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. It's the perfect spot to take in the beauty of the landscape and snap some photos.

For those looking to refuel midway through the hike, Alpine Inn Restaurant is conveniently located 0.16 kilometers off the trail. With a total elevation gain of 758 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
