Welcome to the Höhenweg hiking route!

This 4.229 km circular route offers an easy trek through the beautiful surroundings of Oppenau. The hike has an elevation gain of 112.0 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

Starting at the parking area, you will pass by the Fluggelände Oppenau Ost - Schäfersfeld, a free flying site where paragliders take off. As you continue on the trail, you'll come across Imbiss Löcherbergwasen, a fast-food spot perfect for a quick snack.

Along the way, you can take a break at the picnic site near Dürrenbrandbrunnen and refill your water bottle at the drinking water station. Make sure to stop by the information points at Oberharmersbach and Löcherbergwasen to learn more about the area.

As you reach Schäfersfeld-Pass and Löcherbergwasen, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. The trail also features several benches and shelters where you can rest and take in the scenery.

At the end of the hike, don't forget to visit the viewpoint near the trail to soak in the stunning vistas before heading back to the starting point.
