Welcome to the hiking route to the Externsteine in Externsteiner Straße! This scenic trail offers a super easy hike with a distance of 1.74 kilometers and no elevation gain, making it perfect for hikers of all levels.
As you start your hike, you'll pass by the Oberer Teich, a beautiful water feature located just 0.47 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Along the way, you'll also come across several benches where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.
As you continue on the trail, you'll find various points of interest such as the Grotte archaeological site, Wackelstein attraction, and Höhenkammer archaeological site. Be sure to check out the information points scattered along the trail to learn more about the history and culture of the area.
At the midway point, you'll reach the Felsenwirt restaurant, where you can refuel and take a break before heading back. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for the journey, as well as sunscreen and proper hiking gear.
