This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Forsthaus Externsteine. The trail is super easy, making it suitable for hikers of all levels. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest:

- At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Oberer Teich, a picturesque water feature located just 0.47 kilometers from the start.
- As you continue on, you'll come across the Parkplatz Externsteine, a wheelchair-accessible parking area located 0.01 kilometers from the trail.
- Midway through the hike, you'll find benches where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.
- Towards the end of the trail, you'll encounter the Europäisches Wanderkreuz (European hiking cross) and the Wackelstein, an interesting rock formation.
