This hike will take you to the beautiful area surrounding Pic Merdanson. The route is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 10.204 kilometers with an elevation gain of 978.0 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 48 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the ruins at a distance of 4.95 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. These historic ruins provide a glimpse into the past and serve as a perfect spot for a quick rest and some exploration.
Continuing on, at 1.42 kilometers from the start, you will reach Moncaut, a peak offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great place to take in the beauty of the area and maybe snap some photos.
At the midway point of the hike, 5.1 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Pic Merdanson, another peak that offers panoramic views of the area. Take some time to soak in the scenery and enjoy a well-deserved break before heading back.
