This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding Le Roc Blanc. With a total distance of 10.032 kilometers and an elevation gain of 863 meters, this hike is considered difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area near Étang de Laurenti, you will begin your journey towards Le Roc Blanc. Along the way, you will come across various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Refuge Forestier du Laurenti, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature.
As you continue on, you will pass by the Maquis du Roc Blanc memorial, a significant historic site commemorating past events in the area. Further along the trail, you will reach Col de Laurenti, a saddle point offering beautiful views of the landscape.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter Étang de Laurenti, a picturesque lake perfect for a rest stop or a scenic picnic. Nearby, there is also the possibility of bivouacking at Bivouac possible campsite, where you can spend the night surrounded by nature.
Reaching the peak of Le Roc Blanc, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. If you still have energy to spare, you can venture to Pic de Canras, another peak in the vicinity.
