This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views of the Saartal. The trail starts near Silodom parking area and follows a well-marked path that leads you to several points of interest along the way.
As you start your hike, you'll pass by the Römerkastell ruins, a historic site that dates back to ancient times. Further along the trail, you'll come across the SaarErlebnisland, the former Römerkastell, which provides information about the area's history.
As you continue on, you'll encounter Der gute Mottel memorial and the Mithrashöhle attraction, both offering unique insights into the region's past. The trail also passes by the Grabmal Fürst Heinrich von Nassau-Saarbrücken, a memorial dedicated to a local historical figure.
One of the highlights of this hike is reaching the Aussichtspunkt auf das Saartal viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Saar Valley. The trail is an out-and-back route, so you'll retrace your steps to return to the starting point.
