This extremely difficult 13.266 km out-and-back hiking route takes you to the breathtaking Monte Argentella. The trail starts at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging journey.

As you begin your hike, you will come across the refreshing Fonte della Jumenta spring approximately 2.51 km into the trail. Be sure to refill your water bottles here as staying hydrated is crucial on this arduous trek.

Continuing on, at around the 5.1 km mark, you will encounter the majestic Sasso di Palazzo Borghese peak, followed by the Palazzo Borghese peak at 4.89 km into the trail. Take a moment to catch your breath and admire the stunning views from these vantage points.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the Passo di Sasso Borghese saddle, providing a brief respite before pushing on towards the Monte Argentella peak. At 6.63 km into the trail, you will reach the summit of Monte Argentella, where you can revel in the sense of achievement and enjoy the panoramic vistas that make the challenging ascent worth it.
