You are about to embark on a moderate 6.97 km circular hiking route that leads to the majestic Rotsteinkegel peak. The trail offers a total elevation gain of 34.0 meters and is estimated to take around 1 hour and 41 minutes to complete.

The journey begins at the parking lot near Zum Erbgericht and Kirche u. RZH. Make sure to grab your hiking essentials, including water, as you set off. Just after starting, you'll come across a bench at a mere 20 meters from the trail, offering a great spot for a quick rest.

As you continue onwards, at about 0.27 km from the starting point, you'll encounter a natural water source at the midway point. This is a perfect opportunity to refill your water bottle and hydrate.

Further along the trail, at roughly 1.55 km, you'll find a bench to relax and take in the surrounding scenery. Additionally, there are information points scattered throughout the hike, providing insights into the area's history and biodiversity.

At 3.45 km into the hike, you'll reach the Rotstein peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Nearby, you can explore the Rotsteinkegel climbing area, known for its scenic rock formations.

On your way back, around 3.48 km from the start, you'll pass by another bench before reaching the endpoint. Near the end, at approximately 0.6 km from the starting point, there's an Imbiss+Hofladen pub for a post-hike refreshment.
