The hiking route to Il Trapezio is located in a rugged and beautiful area with stunning views. This extremely difficult 13.586 km trail offers an elevation gain of 1834 meters and is estimated to take around 7 hours and 43 minutes to complete.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across several points of interest along the way. About 0.27 km from the start, you will find the Punto Info Val Genova, a tourist information point. Continuing on, at approximately 0.24 km and 0.27 km respectively, there are drinking water stations located at Ponte Verde and another one nearby.

As you progress further on the trail, at around 4.32 km, you will reach the Bivacco Roberti wilderness hut, providing a shelter for hikers. Additionally, at 6.74 km, you will encounter Passo 4 Cantoni, a scenic saddle in the mountains.

For those looking to quench their thirst, there are more drinking water stations located at 4.32 km and 1.98 km into the hike. Towards the end of the trail, at 6.79 km, you will reach the highlight of the route, Il Trapezio peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
