This extremely difficult hiking route on the D 117 offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. Spanning a distance of 13.688 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1402 meters, this trail will test your endurance and strength.

Starting at the parking area near the entrance of the Parc national des Écrins, you will be greeted by stunning views of the surrounding natural beauty. As you venture further, you will encounter interesting points of interest along the way.

About 2.7 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a unique rock formation, adding a touch of natural wonder to your journey. Continuing on, at the 6.84 kilometer mark, you will find the Monument aux Morts, a historic memorial worth exploring.

Along the trail, you will also encounter a picturesque fountain and an information point named L'Église. Take a moment to rest at one of the benches provided along the route before pushing forward.

As you reach the midway point, approximately 6.84 kilometers into the hike, make sure to stop by Les Coteilles for some additional information. The endpoint of this out-and-back trail offers a rewarding viewpoint, providing a sense of accomplishment for your strenuous efforts.
