This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Lac de la Moucherolle, nestled in the picturesque area of the French Alps. With a total distance of 9.513 kilometers and an elevation gain of 858 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.

Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, you will make your way through the scenic landscape, passing by points of interest along the way. About 1.07 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the charming La Soldanelle restaurant, where you can rest and refuel before continuing on.

As you trek further along the trail, at around 1.58 kilometers, you'll reach the informative Pré Achard, which offers insights into the surrounding area. Continuing on, at around 3.71 kilometers, you'll encounter the scenic Col des Deux Sœurs, a natural saddle offering breathtaking views of the mountains.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 3.34 kilometers, you'll find the Puits Sans Fond-Arche de Noé cave entrance, adding a touch of adventure to your journey. Along the way, make sure to visit the refreshing spring at around 1.06 kilometers and take in the beauty of the Grotte Agnès cave entrance at 3.51 kilometers.

Finally, after a challenging ascent, you'll reach the highlight of the hike - Lac de la Moucherolle at 4.76 kilometers. Take some time to relax by the tranquil waters of the lake and soak in the majestic mountain views before retracing your steps back to the starting point.

This hike is rated as difficult due to its length and elevation gain, so make sure to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
