This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding the Grand étang - Grote vijver, also known as the Great Pond. The trail is super easy, making it perfect for hikers of all levels.
As you start your hike, you'll pass by the Étangs de Silex - Vuursteenvijver, a serene water body located just 0.21 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the way, at about 0.63 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the Étang Clas des Chêne - Eikenhovevijver. This charming pond offers a picturesque spot to rest and take in the surrounding nature.
At the midway point of the hike, approximately 0.87 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Étang des Enfants noyés - Verdronken Kinderenvijver. This tranquil pond is a great place to stop for a break and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
As you make your way back, be sure to check out the Boitsfort-Etangs - Bosvoorde-Vijvers archaeological site, located about 0.38 kilometers from the start. This site offers a glimpse into the area's rich history.
Throughout the hike, you'll also pass by points of interest such as the Kelda memorial and various benches for resting.
