This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Roche de Fitta in the scenic area of Chartreuse. The trail starts at a parking area at the beginning of the route. As you make your way up the trail, you will come across Pont Drugey, a historic bridge located 0.2 kilometers from the start. Further along the route, you will find a natural spring at 1.58 kilometers from the start, which is a great spot to rest and refill your water bottle.
Continue on the trail and you will reach Pré de Pratcel, an information point about the area, located 2.07 kilometers from the start. Along the way, you will also pass by memorials to the Maquisards resistance fighters and the Réserve Naturelle Hauts de Chartreuse, providing insight into the area's history and natural beauty.
At the midway point of the hike, you will reach Roche de Fitta, a natural peak with stunning views, located 3.63 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break, enjoy the scenery, and maybe have a snack before heading back.
Throughout the hike, you will find benches along the trail to rest and take in the surroundings. There is also a drinking water station at 2.19 kilometers from the start to help you stay hydrated.
With a distance of 7.255 kilometers and an elevation gain of 810 meters, this hike is considered difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
