Welcome to Vallons! This hiking route is an extremely difficult 12.201 km out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 977 meters. The total duration of the hike is approximately 5 hours and 16 minutes.
As you start your journey, you will come across the picturesque Plan de l'Eau des Bruyères, a serene water spot just 0.15 km from the beginning of the trail. Be sure to take in the tranquil surroundings before continuing your adventure.
Around the 2.59 km mark, you will find the Refuge du Lou, where you can rest and refuel before tackling the challenging terrain ahead.
Further along the trail at approximately 5.0 km, you will reach the stunning Grand Lac de Montfiot, offering a breathtaking view of the shimmering waters that will surely captivate you.
If you're in need of a break, Le Setor restaurant awaits you at a mere 0.01 km from the trail, providing a perfect opportunity to recharge and enjoy a satisfying meal.
For history buffs, don't miss the opportunity to explore the historic ruins located at 1.65 km from the start of the trail. These remnants offer a glimpse into the past and add an intriguing element to your hike.
