Located in a picturesque area, the hiking route follows the Alter Fuhrweg trail for a distance of 2.116 kilometers with an elevation gain of 70 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. Along the way, hikers will come across various points of interest.

At the beginning of the trail, hikers will find the Wanderparkplatz X - Pfählsberg-Kamp parking area, where they can conveniently leave their vehicles. About halfway through the hike, at 0.98 kilometers from the start, the Jakobstempel shelter offers a nice resting spot to take in the surroundings.

As you continue, at 1.05 kilometers from the start, you'll find Pfählsberg peak, although it's slightly off the main trail. Closer to the trail, at 1.06 kilometers, benches are available for hikers to take a break and enjoy a snack.

Other points of interest along the trail include viewpoints at 0.22, 1.05, and 1.06 kilometers, providing stunning panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscapes. Additionally, informative signs can be found at various locations, such as the Rhein-Camino and Naturpark Nassau information points.

For a refreshing break, hikers can visit the spring at 0.63 kilometers from the start. Finally, at the end of the trail, hikers can enjoy another viewpoint with beautiful scenery before heading back.
