Welcome to the hiking route to Fort de Lestal in the beautiful area of Sentier du Grand Tour du Fort. This hike is a super easy, out-and-back trail with a total distance of 1.136 kilometers and no elevation gain.
As you start your journey, you will come across the ruins of an ancient structure at around 0.47 kilometers from the start. These ruins give a glimpse into the historic past of the area. Continuing on, at 0.54 kilometers from the start, you will reach the majestic Fort de Lestal, a historic castle that stands as a testament to the rich heritage of the region.
Along the way, you will also encounter a tranquil spring at various points, providing a refreshing pit stop during your hike. Additionally, there are fountains like Bassin de la Combaz and Bassin de l'Epenette that add to the charm of the surroundings.
For your convenience, there is a parking area located right at the beginning of the trail, allowing for easy access to the starting point. And if you need a break, there is a water source approximately 0.57 kilometers from the start to refill your water bottle.
