Welcome to the Várút hiking route! This picturesque trail offers a 3.033-kilometer out-and-back adventure with an elevation gain of 147 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across Zádielska chata, a cozy restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before your journey. Further along the trail, about midway, you will find Na skale, a scenic viewpoint offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
As you continue your hike, you will encounter Zádielska dolina, horáreň, a shelter where you can take a break and rest. Keep an eye out for informational points such as 5. Využívanie planiny and 4. Živočíšstvo, offering insight into the local flora and fauna. Additionally, you will find Horné lúky, a beautiful viewpoint perfect for capturing some stunning photographs.
Before heading back, make sure to visit the picnic site at Pod vápennou stráňou for a relaxing break in nature. As you make your way back to the trailhead, take a moment to enjoy the views from the Horný Gemer viewpoint.
