This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Les Mines d'Or. The trail is a moderate difficulty level, with a distance of 3.99 kilometers and an elevation gain of 412 meters. It should take around 1 hour and 57 minutes to complete.
As you start your hike, you'll come across the Chalet de Frétérolle, a charming restaurant just 15 meters from the trail. You can grab a bite to eat here before continuing on. Further along the trail, at about 1.75 kilometers in, you'll reach the Col de Coux, a natural saddle. This is a great spot to take in the scenery and maybe even snap some photos.
Around the 2 kilometer mark, you'll find Les Mines d'Or, a peak that offers stunning views of the surrounding area. It's a perfect place to rest and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Throughout the hike, you'll also come across various points of interest such as wayside crosses, information points, and boundary stones that mark the France/Switzerland border.
