This challenging 11.21-kilometer hike takes you through the stunning terrain surrounding Staffelsee in a out-and-back route.

Starting at the parking area, you'll embark on a journey that includes an elevation gain of 1001 meters over a duration of approximately 5 hours. Before setting off, make sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast, as the difficulty of this hike is rated as "Difficult" due to its length and elevation gain.

Along the way, you'll encounter various points of interest. Approximately 1.85 kilometers from the start, you'll come across Kluppenalm, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic views. At the 5.61-kilometer mark, you'll find a water source perfect for refilling your water bottle.

As you continue on the trail, you'll pass by informational points at 1.86 and 3.63 kilometers from the start, providing you with insights into the area's history and nature. While Griffjoch may be off the trail at 4.79 kilometers, its scenic views make for a worthwhile detour.
