This extremely difficult 12.727-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Lizumer Reckner peak. The trail starts at a parking area, so make sure to bring plenty of water and check the forecast before heading out.
As you begin your journey, you'll pass by the Staffelsee lake around the 5.61-kilometer mark, offering a serene backdrop to your hike. Continuing on, at around 1.85 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the Kluppenalm alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the panoramic views.
Further along the trail, at approximately 5.64 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter another water point before reaching the Lizumer Reckner peak at 6.36 kilometers. The peak offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area and is a great place to stop for photos and a well-deserved rest.
