This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Col di San Giovanni in the beautiful mountainous area. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 7.537 kilometers with an elevation gain of 715 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 3 hours and 31 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you'll come across several points of interest along the trail. At the beginning, you'll find a picnic site and a water source for you to replenish your supplies. Further along, at around 1.8 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Bivacco Rifugio Consèria, a shelter for hikers to rest and take in the surrounding scenery.
Continuing on, at 1.88 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Rifugio Malga Consèria, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. Along the way, you'll also pass by a wayside cross and informational points to learn more about the area.
Midway through the hike, at 2.92 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Passo Cinque Croci, a scenic saddle offering breathtaking views of the landscape. As you approach the end of the trail, at 3.77 kilometers from the start, you'll finally reach the highlight of the hike - Col di San Giovanni, a majestic peak that offers panoramic views of the surroundings.
