This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Eluztizain, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The route is a circular one, spanning a distance of approximately 7.03 kilometers with an elevation gain of 409 meters, making it a difficult trail that will test your endurance.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Aizpita information point, followed by Aizpeako meategia and PR-GI 3008 Aizkorbeko burdinaren bidea. These spots provide valuable information about the area and its history.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter Eluztizain peak, where you can take a moment to appreciate the panoramic views of the surroundings. As you continue on, you will pass by informative points such as Nuestros murciélagos, El tejo, El pájaro carpintero, and many more, each offering unique insights into the flora and fauna of the region.
Towards the end of the trail, you will find remnants of the mining history of Aizpea, including the exploitations of Aizpea and the calcination furnaces used for iron ore. These historical landmarks add a layer of intrigue to your hiking experience.
