Hiking : Cap de Gauch

This hiking route will take you through the stunning area around Cap de Gauch. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 12.569 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1021.0 meters, making it extremely difficult and best suited for experienced hikers.

Starting off at Osque du Couret, you will find a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way through the hike, be sure to stop at the picturesque picnic site located nearby, perfect for a rest and enjoying the surrounding nature.

Midway through the hike, you will reach Bar des Oiseaux, a spring where you can refill your water bottles and take a break before continuing on the trail. Further along, you will come across the scenic Col de Grataux and Col des Consires, both natural saddles offering spectacular views of the landscape.

The highlight of the hike is reaching Cap de Gauch, a peak with an elevation of 6.04 kilometers from the start of the trail. The panoramic views from the peak are truly breathtaking and worth the challenging hike.
